Re: Sinead O’Connor RIP
Terrible news.

I bumped into her once at a service station on the M6. I was about to spend about 3 months working around Cheshire/Staffordshire way

I can confirm, she does have lovely eyes - they were mesmerising.

Anyway, I saw her at a table and plucked up the courage to go over and speak to her.

I said “hello, how’s it going? Got any new songs on the horizon?

“She replied “not at the moment.”

Then, just to make polite conversation, she asked me what I was doing in a service station on the M6.

I said “Oh, I’m going to be up this way, around Cheshire/Staffordshire for work”

Then I asked her, “You don’t happen to know anywhere decent to stay around this way, do you?” Im guessing Stoke is the best bet, as it’s a city?”

She replied, “There’s some ok places around Stoke, but I wouldn’t advise staying there - Id suggest Crewe”.

“Nothing compares to Crewe”.

Had an incredible career for a one hit wonder (which Prince should get the majority of credit for).

Re: Sinead O’Connor RIP
RIP, though did become an even bigger prick with her religious shit and saying she didn't want to be anywhere near white people anymore.

Literally only know one song she sang, though she sang it well!

Ok

To rephrase

She was a pain in the arse before and after success. Success didnt turn her into a pain.

However you see her as an artist is up for you.

Don't doubt it BRANDED

A wild talent and I don't doubt abused along the way vigorously received and latterly resentful of

Not unlike others, albeit, I suspect many consider it an unavoidable 'tax' to reach their perch

Re: Sinead O’Connor RIP
I dont think I ever heard a story about her that didnt make her out to be unbelievably difficult.
I met the guy who signed her and he did so because of her qualities as an artist and took everything else on the chin. Tgat was Dj Chris Hill.

Anyway. You get these tormented geniuses.

I'm with Chim

Never met her but facially and specifically her eyes, beguiling - naturally beautiful
Her voice too, stunning

Equally deeply troubled on all levels, sad on many levels, she deconstructed over time, seemingly beyond help and by fate's hand
